Scots News · Jun 8 2019-2020 Carlmont Athletic Awards – Hall of Fame Inductees Hall of Fame Inductees are chosen by coaches based on their athleticism, sportsmanship and team leadership. Jonaven Kuhn – Football Hall of Fame – Jonaven was a Team Captain as a senior. Despite numerous injuries during his senior year, he was still named Honorable mention all league. As a junior he was First Team All League and the Offensive Player of the Year. Alisha Mitha – Girls Volleyball Hall of Fame – Alisha was first team all league. She was the team leader in hitting percentage and blocks. She was second on the team in kills. Annika Lin – Girls Tennis – Hall of Fame – Annika was a team captain. She was 10-2 overll in league this year and finished second in the PAL Singles Tennis Tournament. She was a CCS quarterfinalist. Sam Jones – Boys Cross Country Hall Fame – Sam was named first team all league after finishing 3rd overall in the PAL Cross Country Championships. He was also named all CCS after a 3rd place finish at the CCS championship. Aiden Dimick – Boys Hall of Fame – Aiden was named first team all league after his 2nd place finish at the PAL Championships. He was also named all CCS after finishing in 4th place at the CCS Championships. Samantha Turtle – Girls Cross Country Hall of Fame – Samantha was named first team all league after finishing in 6th place at the PAL Championships. At the CCS Championship, Samantha finished in 18th place. Melina Dimick – Girls Water Polo Hall of Fame -She was awarded the the girls water polo Inspire Award. She is the athlete who inspired the team to work hard, to make choices that were for the betterment for the team. She made an impact for the team every time she was at practice or on game days. Her attitude and approach to her team and sport always brought out the best in our abilities. Oliver Crawford Shelmadine – Boys Water Polo Hall of Fame – Oliver was a team captain, second team all leage and averaged 3 goals per game. He was a team leader on both offense and defense. Viveka Kurup – Girls Golf Hall of Fame – Viveka was named first team all league after finishing second overall at the PAL golf Championship. She narrowly missed three peating as the number one golfer in the PAL. Joe Seaman – Boys Basketball Hall of Fame – Joe was a team captain and honorable mention all league. He was amongst the team leaders in points, rebounds and blocks. Erica Mendiola – Girls Basketball Hall of Fame – Erica was a team captian, voted the team MVP and was a first team all PAL selection. She led the team in scoring and led the PAL in three pointers made with 31. Varun Suklikar – Boys Soccer Hall of Fame – Varun was a team captain and the goalkeeper of the year in the PAL. He led the Scots defense in posting 8 shutouts this season. Sam Phan – Girls Soccer Hall of Fame – Sam was a team captain, 1st team all league, and PAL midfielder of the year. She scored 8 goals with 9 assists. Alex English – Boys Lacrosse Lacrosse Hall of Fame – Alex is a two way player who is a leader both on an off the field. . Caroline Conway – Girls Lacrosse Hall of Fame – Team captain and offensive leader. Luca Garlati – Boys Swimming Hall of Fame -Luca is the current boy’s school record holder as an individual in the 500 free. Sammie Lee – Girls Swimming Hall of Fame -Sammie is the current girl’s school record holder as an individual or relay member in: 100 fly; 200 medley relay; 200 free relay; 400 free relay. Jackson Tam – Badminton Halll of Fame – Jackson was a team captain and one of the top singles players. Elise Hsu – Badminton Hall of Fame – Elise is the top singles players both last year and this year. As a freshman she was one of the top singles players in the PAL and qualified for CCS. Kevin Shea – Baseball Hall of Fame – Kevin was a team leader, who has committed to playing baseball at University of Massachusetts, Boston. Ethan Mayoss – Boys Volleyball Hall of Fame – Ethan was the team captain and led the team in kills. As a junior he was named the league MVP. Milad Shafaie – Boys Tennis Hall of Fame – Milad was a team captain and the number one singles player. Alexandra Velschow – Cheer Hall of Fame – Alli was a cheer team member for 4 years and had a huge influence on the team in terms of leadership, athleticism and spirit.
