Carlmont Highlights: Finding themselves down by a run going into the bottom of the 6th inning, the Scots let loose and put 7 runs on the board. David Bedrosian was the only underclassman starter on this Senior Day, and it was his line-drive double to left that started the big comeback. Two batters later, and with the bases loaded, 2nd baseman Will Klieves’ ground-rule double to deep left brought in the tying and go-ahead runs. Jordan Brandenburg’s 2-bagger also drove in a run, and Aaron Hoch singled to center to drive in 2 more Scots. Using just 87 pitches, Lucas Billot threw his third complete-game in league play, improving his record to 2-1. He gave up 3 runs, all unearned, on 4 hits and 2 walks, and he struck out 5 Menlo Knights. Also, at the plate Billot was 1 for 2 (2B) with an RBI. This victory allowed Carlmont’s 12 Seniors to fully enjoy their final home game of their high school careers. The graduating Seniors are Lucas Billot, Jordan Brandenburg, Taylor Douglis, Josh Fong, Aaron Hoch, Will Klieves, Grant Norman, Mitchell Plane, Henry Reich, Dominic Susa, Brandon Takimoto and Zane VanArsdel.
