Carlmont Highlights: The Scots suffered a grueling loss that lasted for 10 2/3 innings before the Capuchino Mustangs prevailed. Starting pitcher Mitchell Plane displayed the heart of a lion on the mound and at the plate. Leading off the top of the 3rd inning Plane parked a 2-1 pitch over the corner of the left field fence for his first HR. The single run held up until the bottom of the 6th when Cap tied the score at 1-1 with an unearned run. Plane continued on the mound until the 110 pitch-count cap was reached, actually throwing 116 total, finishing up with an extremely impressive 9 1/3 innings pitched. He struck out 5 Mustangs, gave up 6 hits and did not walk a batter until the last batter he faced coaxed his final 8 pitches into a free base. Will Klieves then took over in relief and was saddled with the loss when Cap scored the game-winner in the bottom of the 11th. Plane led the Scots with 3 hits, and Sean Vanderaa was 2 for 4 including a double.

Carlmont Record: 14-11 overall, 9-4 league
