The Scots (2-1) lost their first game of the season on Tuesday to Sequoia, 7-8. The Scots came out flat and went down 1-3 in the first quarter but bounced back to tie the game 3-3 by the half. Turnovers and penalties plagued the Scots throughout the night. Despite that, they still had multiple opportunities at the end of the game to make a game tieing score but couldn’t convert. Senior Ralphie Holmes led the team with four points, including three goals and one assist. Sophomore JJ Leavitt had two goals and Trevor Douglis had two assists. Seniors Adrian Cunningham and Nathan Durrans each scored goals late in the game. Junior netminder Shuaib Khan made 13 saves. The Scots travel to Los Gatos for a 7 pm game on Thursday.
