PAL Cross Country Championships
The Carlmont Cross Country team swept the Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls team titles at Crystal Springs on Saturday, November 3. Despite the 84 degree temperature, Kaimei Gescuk won the Varsity Girls race in 18:41. Allie Ayers (19:11, 5th), Sabrina Jackson (19:38, 12th), Samantha Turtle (20:48, 27th) and Ashlyn Kwan (20:51, 28th) completed the scoring as the Lady Scots tallied 71 points to second place Woodside’s 94. Jasmine Cassidy (20:57, 29th) and Maya Blodgett (21:10, 34th) were the remaining team members. The win secured the PAL League Championship with 80 points.

Justin Hsu won a tactical Varsity Boys race in 15:57 to lead the Scots to victory in the Varsity Boys race. The team score of 40 points was achieved by Caleb Metzler (16:26, 7th), Aidan Dimick (16:30, 9th), Kyle Dimick (16:36, 11th) and Eric Jackson (16:43, 12th). Jack Peacock (17:21 PR, 28th) and Aaron Moskovitz (17:43, 37th) were the 6th and 7th runners. The Scots won all 4 PAL races so they claimed the PAL League Championship with a perfect score of 85 points.
