The Carlmont Scots defeated Capuchino by a score of 65-35, in the first PAL league game for both teams. Capuchino kept the game close early on, but a decisive 25-8 run in the second quarter fueled the victory for Carlmont.

The Scots were led by Erica Mendiola, with 13 points. Victoria Mataele added 12 and Catherine Dahlberg 11, as Carlmont had a balanced attack, with nine players scoring.
In addition to her nine points, Ashley Trierweiler had an excellent all-around game, as she dished out 10 assists, collected 10 rebounds, got six deflections and five steals.

Good ball movement was a highlight of the game for Carlmont, as they had 20 assists on their 28 baskets. The Mustangs were led by Freshman Bailey O’Mahoney’s 14 points and Marisa Wong’s 11.

The Scots improve their record to 11-2 overall and 1-0 in the PAL, while Capuchino falls to 7-6 and 0-1 in league play.
