The Carlmont Scots & Aragon Dons both came into the game with identical 8-2 PAL league records. It was the Dons who came away with sole possession of second place in the league, with a 52-40 victory.

The first half was a seesaw affair that ended up tied at 23 apiece at the half. In the third quarter, Aragon got a huge contribution from Megan Grant, who came off the bench, to score nine of her 11 points.

Aragon took a 40-33 lead into the fourth quarter and held off the Scots down the stretch. Carlmont’s Ashley Trierweiler had another strong performance with her eighth Double-Double in 11 PAL league games. Trierweiler had 17 points and 13 rebounds. She also contributed six assists and three steals.

Lydia Manu led the Dons with 16 points. Jalene Parangan matched Evans with 11 points.

The won moves Aragon to 9-2 in league and 13-10 overall. Carlmont drops to 8-3 in the PAL and 17-6 overall.
