What an exciting game! Carlmont struck first with a solo goal by Sophia Eaker, slotting the ball low and in the right corner about 15 minutes into the game. Burlingame soon struck back with a goal and then hit a second goal with about 10 minutes left of the first half. Carlmont went into halftime trailing 1-2 but had plenty of scoring opportunities with 10 shots on goal and 7 crosses.
Second half proved to be as exciting as the first. Burlingame scored about 10 minutes into the half, waking up the Carlmont offense as we trailed 1-3. The next three goals were all Carlmont. Samantha Phan won the ball around the defensive 30 yard line and dribbled it down to the Burlingame goal line, getting a cross off to Samantha Blucher who finished the goal in the lower right corner. The next goal was off a corner kick play where Samantha Blucher placed a perfect corner kick on the head of Rachel.Amir Chatman. The last goal was another cross in from Samantha Phan and was finished in the upper right corner by Mckenna Summers.
Carlmont had a total of 20 shots and 14 crosses in a very offensive-oriented game for both sides.
